Hello everybody. It has been several years since I posted on this list. I
guess I am just over extended a little bit and have not been able to
participate. Some of the old timers might remember me, since I signed up
to Scouts-L during it's infancy. (Before Web Pages had ever been heard of.)
I am on the list tonight to send out the following notice. I know over the
years there has been outside interest in this event. This year we have
space and I have finally convinced the Council to open up to out of Council
earlier. If you have Scouts with free time this Summer, you might consider
this activity. It is truly unique because we try real hard to integrate
the Scouts, starting by making the troops up of Scouts from both countries.
So please take a look and pass it on to your Scouts. Contact me with any
questions. Please do not send questions to the List, I will be set on
NO-MAIL. It is that time of the year when Lifeguards and Water Safety
Instructors need to be trained and I am BUSY!

There is still room for Scouts and Scouters to participate in Pimaree XIX.
This event will take place July 19-25 about 20 miles South of Nogales, in
the state of Sonora, Mexico. Out of Council Applications are now being
accepted. You can contact Chris Haggerty for more information at:
The flyer and application follow. Packets are being sent out when deposits
Scouting offers us many opportunities for personal development and
achievement. Some activities do not concentrate on advancement, but offer
chances for fun, new friendships and personal growth that are all a part of
scouting.. PIMAREE XIX will focus on scouting activities in which American
and Mexican Patrols learn to work together to accomplish common goals.
Understanding the different culture and traditions that bring us together
under the common bond of SCOUTING.
Planning is underway for the next chapter in the longest running week long
Council Sponsored International Event in Scouting History and you will not
want to miss this. You must apply now,
