Hmmm.... This is almost exactly how our council merged several years ago!
I don't really see anything new in the plan and we still operate with
divisions. Ours was only 2 divisions. Maybe that is how yours in a one
of a kind. The functions you listed are almost a duplicat of ours.
Anyway, it has worked very well, probably as smooth as anyone could expect
from a merger. The OA lodges functioned separately for a time (I think a
year or two - can't remember for sure), but evenutally were strongly
encouraged to merge. That merger went fairly well, also. We had a
committee from each lodge work out the details. We kept the lodge number
of one and the name of the other lodge. I hope your merger goes as well
as ours did!
