Invite to NC & VA Packs/Troops

Pack 164 of the Tidewater Council - Albemarle District wants to extend an
open invitation to all Packs and Troops of any Councils near Edenton, NC.
Edenton is located in the northeastern corner of NC. In 1998 we will be
hosting an extravaganza, on March 7th, called "SCOUT FARE '98" at the
American Legion Post 40 (our charter org.)located on BUS. 17, South.
There will be many static and dynamic displays that day for both cub and boy
scouts. If you are interested please come and set up a display but you will
need to contact us with the details. This event is free and open to the public.
Some already scheduled events are:
* Albemarle District Pinewood Derby
* Authenic Confederate/Union encampments
* Leather craft
* Live alligators
* Patch Trading Table
* Equipment & weapons of the National Guard
* Living history presentation by the Meherrin Indian Tribe
* Camping vendors . . . . .plus much, much more
Scouts can come and camp Friday evening, March 6th, cost is $4.00 (in
advance)per camper and includes cost of patch.
Set up for displays will begin Friday evening and gates are scheduled to
open at 9:00 AM Saturday. A local resturant will be catering a North
Carolina barbeque lunch for $5.00.
