I guess I would accept that, too. It shows that he had thought about what
was appropriate, and made a reasoned judgement based on that analysis. I
don't agree with his conclusion, and it would have been better if he had
asked the Advancement Chairman for advice, but I wouldn't fault him much on
Scout spirit for that point. I would rather see that a the boy who didn't
wear Scout pants because his mother forgot to wash them after the last
meeting (What - your mother keeps the washing machine locked up, so you
can't wash them yourself?)
