Pennsylvania is very very strict about fishing licenses (and I have a
citation to prove it. Children do not need a license but as an adult I was
assumed to be fishing by accompanying my child with one pole between us.
"Who will bait the hook," he asked? "Who will take the fish off the hook,"
BUT there are TWO days (one in spring, one in fall) where you can fish
without a license. I found this out accidently, by way of information
buried in the little advertsing filled regulation book they hand out with
licenses. Maybe your state has something like this.
