Michelle asked a GREAT QUESTION!!:
>As a Wolf Cub Den Leader, can I wear my son's Tiger and Bobcat pins >on my
uniform shirt? If so, where?
How about "How"??
Naturally, the pins cannot be worn on the uniform shirt by themselves.
The pins are designed for "civilian wear". However, many Cub Scouters and
Boy Scouters, proud parents as well, do wear their son(s) Mother pins on
their uniform in one of several ways:
*by suspending a red, white and blue ribbon, a plain red, a blue and yellow
ribbon, or a ribbon which has all of the colors of Cub, Scouting and
Exploring in it (yellow, blue, white, red, and green; I found the ribbon ONE
TIME and I've got calls to several fabric stores to find another "box" of
it!!) from the right pocket button of the uniform shirt and attaching the
pins to the ribbon
*by placing the pins on either a circular or round "patch holder" along with
a photo of the Scout...it's a neat "personal display" of the parent's love
and pride of the Scout
*or by placing the pins on the Scouters' hat
Anyone else have any ideas on how Michelle can wear those pins on her
uniform shirt and "still be in uniform"???
(Again, GREAT QUESTION....I'm glad you've asked it seeing how Blue and Gold
Banquets are around the corner!!)
