First, some e-mail clients, such as Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express,
change some message types to attachments without anyone doing anything to
turn them into attachments. This happens quite often, and is somewhat of an
aggravation. It's worth noting that the full version of Outlook handles
such things much more slowly than Outlook Express, which comes with Internet
Second, if this is a real problem to you, and you are using one of the
Outlook applications as your primary e-mail client, this may be enough of a
reason to switch over to Netscape, which doesn't do the same thing, and is
often able to open attached files (especially images) automatically.
Something to think about, eh?
