Please DO NOT SEND attachments!
IF something isn't important enough either
- to include as part of the text of your main message or
- to place in a Web site where people who want to look at it can,
THEN it isn't important enough to junk up our attachments files.
Extra effort has to be made to delete the many attachments that have been
sent lately. The number of attachments has been growing considerably in the
last little while. Perhaps it is time for another reminder about list etiquite.
I used to just send messages to those who attached stuff, but now I feel
that I must shout about this abuse so that the many well meaning people who
may feel (based on recent experiences) that attachements are acceptable will
realize that attachemnts are a nuisance and should not be used.
Now I hope to revert to my usually quiet presence.
