This is all rumor but i have heard that we should know more about the new awards
in exploring sometime in Aug. of 1998, and that there will be something about it
possible at the National Explorer Leadership Conference this summer.
I have heard that the way the awards will work is EVERYONE can get the Explorer
G.O.L.D. award just like it is now. Only High adventure posts will work on the
Ranger award(this is rumor, but i did hear it from my BSA sources) after a
explorer has received the G.O.L.D. award and there clusters award (such as Ranger,
Quartermaster and possible others) you work on the Silver Award.
This i what i have heard, and from more the one person. So maybe big things are
going to happen
