Mark Arend mentioned Michael Jackson and his decorating expertise;
Are you sure it is a manniquien and not an example of taxidermy gone
horribly wrong? Remember, this is the lad who wanted the skeleton of the
"Elephant Man" to display in his home.
Gee, do you think the winsome wailer was ever a Scout? I doubt he had
time for it, being that he was used from about age five or so as a performer
in the family business. Not much in the way of positive values could have
come his way.
Maybe this should start a letter writing campaign. Even with all the
bad publicity he has managed to gather, a couple of million to FOS would
certainly help mitigate some of his weirdness. While his taste in decorations
is hard to describe in polite language, embarassing him might do good for
some other boys.
Speaking of Scouting not being part of interior decorating, have you
looked around your house lately? I know that at least one quarter of my house
is done in "Cub Scout Leader Modern." The graceful piles of books and papers
are offset by the generous use of colorful and yet casual heaps of craft
supplies scattered with seemingly no apparent plan. Playful dashes of yarn,
plastic eyes and toy wheels peep out out of storage containers to charm the
visitor, while a youthful tone dominates the decor with themes of popcorn and
