Just a followup to my previous note. I saw several other
replies after posting my original reply.
One responder suggested that you have the SPL do the talking
to the boy. I'd nix that. Kids these days have enough
problems with peer relationships. Having the SPL talk may
backfire on him in school or elsewhere. I'd never put
someone in potential harms way. You are the SM,
you must be the spokesperson. As one other poster mentioned,
you don't want to ever refer to other complainants by name.
I'm less concerned with the "intentions" or "scout spirit"
than I am with the fact that on the last go-round, the project
was done by the parents, not the boy.
