My thanks to Mike Walton for posting his document regarding Eagle Boards
of Review. (Mike, I have taken it and made some local modifications. I'll
be putting it out in my District ASAP.)
One point that I would like to make is in regards to footwear. We have had
a problem in the past when we have asked Scouts not to wear sneakers or
similar attire on special occasions. Guess what? They did not own anything
else. I agree that I would like to see something more akin to "dress
shoes" at Boards of Review and Courts of Honor, but in today's society, it
just won't happen.
I have purchased dress shoes for my own children for some special
occasions. They might wear them once or twice in a year but that is all.
And, of course, when I want them to wear them again, they do not fit. (not
only don't they not fit, they are about 3 sizes too small!!!)
The rest of the document is great. Thanks again, Mike.
