My troop committee meets at a time and evening different from the troop
meeting. The troop meeting is for the scouts and the adults working with
them. Since quite a number of the committee members actively assist during
the troop meeting, having the committee meet at the same time is detrimental
to the program we are trying to provide the boys.
By the way, we encourage our SM and ASMs to attend the troop committee
meeting. That's another reason why we don't schedule it during troop
