Our troop allows scouts to plan and go on their own camping tips,
provided several conditions are meet.
A. Parents permission and understanding there will be no adults
B. They must camp on scout property.
C. They must follow BSA rules regarding transportation.
D. They must have at least 1 first responder along.
E. They must make a deposit to the troop for the buliding/campground.
F. They must have a program.
G. They should expect an adult leader to stop by for 1-2 hours.
H. They must have proper equipment, and food.
I. They must be at least 16 yrs. old
Often we encourage, if a partol wants to go withouint and adult that
they take some of our ASMs that are between 18-21, the patrols don't
look to them as adults, but more as big kids. This way we can usually
get an EMT there and have some adult presence.
