There has been a good deal of discussion in our household too about the cost to
going to Chile for the World Jamboree. The cost of over $4,000 seems a bit out
of line to me.
I was recently looking into booking a 12 day, 7 city tour to Italy, top hotels,
all meals included, motor coach with a guide for my family and the per person
cost was just over $2,000. Even if you consider the additional costs for doing
the advance work setting up a one time event, I can't see why the cost should be
so high. Call a travel agent and ask for a booking to Chile and I think you will

backpacking in the Swiss, German and/or Italian Alps for the summer of 1999.
