Bruce Major suggestion is a valid idea, if we could get it started in enough
districts and councils at the volunteer level. Does anyone else see value in
this? Does anyone else think we can do this ourselves without making others
edgy that we're working "behind the professional's backs"?
If you like it we can start now and see if it really is used by the units,
and all it would require would be a small sub-committee at District levels to
keep track of the agncies that could help a unit in such a situation. Are
there enough District-level people out theere to gve it a fair shot? Are
there Districts that can get more people for another "sub-committee"?
This might work right out of the gates, and it could even be attached several
places, starting with a relationships committee if your District has one (my
first guess since they should already have people interested in religion and
connection to Pastors who should be able to help in counseling).
