I have just returned from a two day course on stress management, the first
part of professional training for stress management trainers. Although
the emphasis was on stress in the workplace and dealing with stress in a
clinical setting, some of the ideas would fit in with work with kids
around promoting self-esteem, positive lifestyles etc.
If we run intermediate JLT in the district this year I will suggest that
we include a short module ... probably not called stress management but
covering some of those areas. It is still a very tentative idea at this
stage. It could also be a session at Scout-o-versity / PowWow. It is
definitely something to raise with the training team.
