Last week I saw a Scout at a Merit Badge Fair that made me become an immediate advocate for full uniforms. This young man was dressed in big, baggy, hang over your shoes and drag the ground jeans; with his Scout shirt untucked hanging out over his jeans;
and a Notre Dame baseball cap on backwards. His leader called him up on stage to conduct the flag ceremony dressed like that in front of perhaps 200-300 young Scouts. This same leader then arranged for him to be in severalphotos being taken by the loca
l media. I was embarassed he was representing the Boy Scouts of America that day. I instantly adopted the "no jeans" attitude at 8:15am that morning.
