Hello fellow Scout-L members. It's been a long time since I have had some
time to be active on Scouts-L. As such, a quick intro is needed:
I'm Todd Tingblad; Unit Commissioner, Troop Committee Member, District
Activities Committee Member, Council Show & Do Committee Member, and
Council Webmaster. I'm in Indianhead Council out of St. Paul, Minnesota,
in the LaCroix District.
The question about the start of Tiger Cubs started even earlier. It was
with the input from the Como Park Zoo in St. Paul, MN that started the
development process. The zoo worked with Indianhead and National to get
this type of program developed. This is not to say that it was all Como
Park's idea. Other too has the same type of idea. With the Zoo's help,
Tiger Cubs' development was fully started and has become an important part
of the total Cub Scout and Scouting packages.
Because of this, Indianhead Council now has a Tiger Zoo Day and Como Park
Zoo on the first weekend of October.
