The Tiger Cub program was experimented in seventeen local Councils in 1986
and 87; it became part of the Improved Cub Scout program in the fall of
1987; and local Councils that weren't using it previously started using it
in the spring of 1988.
This fall and the coming spring, all of the BSA's programs come up for
review and as some previous postings indicated, there's about to be some
changes to the program (some good, some bad). As the majority of the BSA's
national committee meetings have already met by today, some of those
*revisions* will be coming out with November or December. I'm waiting on
the BSA's National Executive Board meeting, which is supposed to be held
this weekend and into Monday.
Hope that helps!!
