Cory did a great job and deserves recognition.
The lifeguard that talked to the den did a terrible job and also deserves
recognition. IF I understand correctly, Cory performed a swimming rescue as
taught by the lifeguard. This is a dangerous manuever for adults. Cory was
very lucky that he didn't also become a victim. I am not blaming Cory. He
did what he thought was right and it turned out well. He kept his head
better than many adults I've seen and earned any & all praise.
This is just a caution about believing other Tigers can do the same thing.
Chances are in a similiar incident you would have two drowned kids. I have
taught swimming, lifesaving and water survivial. I am a lifeguard and SCUBA
