I had to respond, if for no other reason than your last name. ;^)
Seriously, we had quite a popcorn sale in our council that I believe
merits sharing with the list.
A cub pack (with which I have no affiliation, not even in my district)
with I think somewhere around 50 - 60 cubs, located in a pretty small
town, sold ****$12,000**** worth of popcorn.
There may be places in the country where that is not an amazing figure,
but here in our suburban and rural council, it is astounding!
I don't know if the split is the same everywhere between unit/council/
Trails End, but regardless, this was quite a haul for all concerned.
They bought six inexpensive "action figure" type wrist watches, and
distributed them throughout the community, to both Scouting and non-
Scouting homes. The first Scout to call at that house selling popcorn
got the watch. (I believe I heard that not all of the watches were
