In the early 50s, my dad was a Scoutmaster in central Utah and earned
merit badges and ranks right along with his Scouts. He reached Life rank
before he moved to a new town in northern Utah.
He dropped out of Scouting until I got involved as a Boy Scout about '60.
At that time he signed up as a committee member and joined us on several
camps, boards of review, etc.
When I went before the Board of Review for my Eagle in '62, my parents
were invited. The Board spent more time on my dad than on me. They were
trying to get him to complete his Eagle.
An uncle completed his Eagle while serving as a Scoutmaster about the
Blaine S Nay, NL7EL, Unit Commissioner, Silverdale, Washington, USA
Scouting for some 30 years...and a good ol' buffalo too (SE350-83)!
