reply: refusing adult membership

Just putting in my $2.00 worth.
Some time ago I ask your council exe. about the committee refusing adults
applications. He said technically no that the committee cannot refuse
membership, it is up to the sponsor or council itself.
The sponsors job is to recurit *sp* adults for the troop. It the sponsor
does not what them so be it. The committee can recommand to the sponsor
the reasons not to join scouting.
Remember the sponsor is the boss not the committee. Unfortunately there is
people on committee's that think they are boss and get a swelled head and
they have the final say. WRONG.
