Boy Scouts require that its members believe in God. That doesn't specify
which God but it does specify a God. By being an athiest that goes against
the requirement. Being reverent and believing in a God are totally separate.
Reverent is respecting others religions and not judging them based on that
religion. The question then arises how can one respect that which he does not
