Disinterested Charter Organization

Prior to our Charter expiring, I sought help from the Knights of
Columbus Council in my neighborhood. They agreed to sponsor the Pack
(provided yours truly becomes their Youth Programs Director) and our
Pack number was maintained with the Scout Council.
After three years we moved back into the Parish Hall (it had been
renovated) and we changed out sponsor to the parish church. I had
three happy years as COR, including one as District Chair, and was
more than relieved to turn it over to the new COR.
If the old Chartering Organization owns the equipment, its theirs.
If it belongs to the unit, its yours.
Thank your previous sponsor before you go. A letter of gratitude
from the Scout Executive is proper.
