Let me say this first not ALL committees run the way "we" think that
they should not that you or I want anything more than what BSA policy is. I
have been involved in with the troop committee for the past 4 years and have
been having problems since the day I started just because I would like to
"follow" BSA policy. I am not saying word for word (it would be nice) but at
least not totally "breaking" many of the policies. I am a firm believer that
everyone's situation is different but lets at least get to the bottom
It frustrates me even more since our UC, CC and one of the Com.
Members are part of the "training team". The more I try to at least get a
start in the right direction they do agree but nothing is being done about
Being part of this mailing list has helped "me" feel good and
reassured that I am not out of line with what I feel is correct. Jealousy is
a big problem seeing what "other troops are doing" and my troop is not. The
biggest problem that I have since joining the list is that the committee is
so upset when I tell them "I use my resources" and have proof in my hands to
support what I have said.
Good Luck to you......I look forward to what this list is going to
say because I myself am sitting on the fence wondering what I should do......
