I love this thread!
My karate kid son, Cade, was invited to a Black Belt ceremony. They are
quite formal. Anyone involved in martial arts, regardless of the
discipline, was asked to wear their dubok or uniform. For those in
Taekwondo, it was required. It was a very formal ceremony, serious,
lots of standing and bowing and bell ringing and candlelighting. And of
course, it was held right after our Webelos meeting. I took special
care that night in having a totally correct Class A. As the honoree was
a 10 year old boy, he thought that it was neat that I wore *my* uniform
and of course, I told him I did it just for him!
