Turning the Tenderfoot

Last nite, my younger son received his Tenderfoot badge. When he stood
up, there were cries of, "Turn him upside down," from some of the other
scouts present. The SM declined to ask me to do so. We're new to this
troop, so don't know if it is a tradition there, or not.
My son did not indicate a desire to be turned upside down for his badge
presentation. I suspect that, at age 11, he had a different opinion of
the practice than he did at age 8.
