I don't have to think about this one too long.
The strangest place I've ever worn a uniform...
Back in my college days, one of my good friends was receiving his Eagle
award at a Court of Honor, but I had a class conflict.
The class was a beginning drawing class and the instructor had arranged to
have a live (nude) model to pose for the class on that particular night
(very unique for that class level). My instructor agreed to let me leave
early from class so I could attend the Court of Honor.
Since the Court of Honor was only 15 minutes away, and it was definately
a uniform event (I was involved with a presentation), I wore my uniform
to the class.
I felt a little self conscious in my Scout uniform, and I think the model
did also. She kept looking at me nervously through the corner of her eye.
I don't know what the rules and regulations say about this sort of
situation. It did work out very well for logistics though, I got
everything done that I needed to do that night.
It might have been a peculiar scene for someone to see a fully uniformed
Scouter (age 19) in a class creating drawings of a young nude woman.
Not exactly a Norman Rockwell cover.
BTW: I got an "A" in that class.
