There is a problem with the computers...and it is deeper than the
advancement records. However, here's my solution as past Advancement Chair.
When new scouts join your troop they get a "pep talk" from me about the
cover for their book...I personally use the black cloth one sold in our
Scout Shop. Then I say..."remember that *when* you go for Eagle, this is
the ultimate record. Keep it safe." I also have ALWAYS had Eagle
applicants photocopy the pages from their book and their blue cards to
attach to the form. This way there can be no questions, and it does speed
