I personally consider such a policy absurd. We should not put unreasonable
restrictions on the youth. I think the desire not to wear (ridiculous)
ear rings or hair color is a grownup reaction and should not be enforced on
youth which should do their own program within BSA guidelines.
However, I do not think your committee overstepped its authority; I only
think it made a bad decision.
