May I suggest simply using plastic chests such as the Rubermaid "Action
Packers". Although they don't have legs and don't easily set up as a
kitchen cupboard, they're very rugged (I had one fall out of my trailer
at highway speeds with no damage), much cheaper and lighter than plywood
boxes, weather proof with the lid latched, and easy to carry. The
standard (original) size carrys all a patrol needs for a campout and
costs about $14.
The boys like 'em: I caught one of my scouts using one as a toboggan on
one of our winter campouts!
