It's a terrible disappointment to hear about electronic fingerprinting as
becoming part of a background checking methodology.
I teach in a public school and understand the various influences that
accost today's youth, from family as well as non-relatives.
Are we really so willing to embrace Big Brother so warmly? How about a
group that's close enough to allow checking references ? Are your Troops
really that big and with so much transience as to call for such
dehumanizing reliance on technology, or is this just the use of a new toy?
I understand and have heard the argument of if you're not guilty then
what's the problem, and I'm not desiring or willing to get into a big to do
about political persuasions of uninformed, emotionalised flaming. And I
already hear the "price to pay for preventing even one situation...
Maybe in the heavily urban areas, the need is more strongly felt.
It's just an incredible loss and paints an ugly picture of our society and
