Jason makes an excellent point *for* the use of a legal aid society.
States, and localities within those states have so many laws and regs
that none of us could possibly hope to keep up with them. So go to the
expert. You might just find that the county official was exactly
right. Then again, there have been lots of times that county officials
have been found to be wrong -- not intentionally, perhaps, but they have
just as hard a time keeping the rules straight as the rest of us.
