You asked us all:

Church, ELCA, Huntsville, AL, was presented something called >the "Lamb
Award". I vaguely remember it had something to do with Boy >Scouts. I am
Yep. You're absolutely correct about the vagueness and the award's name.
The Lamb Award is the Lutheran Church's adult service award. It is
presented to lay ministers, community leaders and those in service to youth
by the Church. It has something to do with Scouting because many of the
holders of the Lamb Award are longtime Lutheran Scouting volunteers and a
couple of professionals.
However, one does NOT have to be Lutheran to recieve the award, but rather
have provided "significant service to Lutheran youth" through their
involvement in programs like Boy (and/or) Girl Scouting.
The award consists of a certificate, lapel pin, and pendant award. BSA
holders may also purchase the adult religious service square knot to wear on
the field uniform.
Hope this helps out, Carol!
