This had me intrigued, never having done it before.
Sounds like a lot of fun for a game.
Using two boys is one option with =
#1 Scout the Rope holder
#2 Scout the Tree Circler
The Tree circler goes around the tree and hands the rope
to the Rope Holder as he goes under the first rope.
The Tree Circler goes high on the tree and comes around.
The Free end is tucked in the proper clove hitch place
and then tightening begins with the Tree Circler
holding his end up high and at about a 1/4 turn further
around the tree. =
A bit of coordination and practice will be needed to =
adjust the clove hitches appearance on the tree.
If the Tree or boys don't offer enough grab and tightness
you can loop a rope around the middle and slowly feed it
in as the two free ends are pulled tight.
Option two is do it yourself with a stake or stone as Scout#1 =
which is what I did. The Tree and rope were kind to me.
YiS, IMHO, and may we each attempt to live the SO,SL,SS,SM
