A short story..
My week of Cub Trainer Woodbadge fell on the twins birthday.
CJ has been to summer camp for the first time this year after joining a
Boy Scout troop in March.
I called on Amy and CJ's birthday from the Scout camp. Amy was off playing,
CJ was home.
Me: "Hey congrats on your big bad 11th birthday!
CJ: "Where are you?"
Me: "I'm still at the Scout ranch."
CJ: "You know you're not suppose to use the phone at camp!"
Me: "I got special permission since it was your birthday."
CJ: "You better get off the phone because you have to be missing SOMETHING!"
With that, we ended the conversation. I wonder if the Scoutmaster or ASM's
spouses would be willing to let them come live with me for a week!
Obviously, even months later, CJ *remembers* what they say!
