I was briefly active on SCOUTS-L back in 1994-95. At that time, I had a
specific question regarding the "Scouts in Exile" organization that WAGGGS
and WOSM are not permitted to talk about. The answers I received were
excellent -- even a book written by a Dutch author on the subject. As
formerly Communist nations re-establish their Scouting programs, the number
of SIE groups will continue to drop.
My latest informational need is the upcoming dates/locations for World
Jamborees. I know the December 1999 WJ is to be in Chile. Does anyone
know the location of the 2003 WJ?
I have been active in WOSM/WAGGGS in various countries and a Woodbadger
Bear in 1975. Currently, I am a Lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of the
U.S.A. and a Webelo Cub Scout Leader in Texas. My web page has a personal
Scouting history at: http://www.amdahl.com/~aef30
Thanks for building and maintaining the SCOUTS-L archives!
