We do basically the same thing in our District. We call it the "Unit
Scouter of the Year" and give the recipients a certificate and a bolo tie.
Biggest problem we have is getting the units to name someone. We have
nearly 60 units in our district, but normally only award 12-18 "Unit
Scouters of the Year." I've begged them at roundtables - to no avail. This
is a nice honor for a scouter that puts in extra effort at the unit level,
but isn't well known to the District.
