Peter Hickey asked a question that I have been sitting here *really*
>Is there a solution to how they can display more belt loops?
>We want to insure they are still motivated to work in these areas, but if
>they cannot display any more belt loops, then what is the incentive.
I don't know of a way that they can display any more loops on a belt which
is full of loops. However, here's a idea that I have that was inspired by
watching a commerical on this week's Star Trek-Deep Space Nine episode:
Have those Cub Scouts that choose to do so to get the largest belt that they
can purchase and have them to take all of their loops off of the belt and
place them on the larger belt. Then have them to attach the belt to the
buckle and drap it over their right shoulder as if it was a merit badge sash.
I don't know what it'll look like, but it should be a different display than
what other Cubs normally see.
(of course, they should wear the regular belt around their pants...don't
want any flashers here; and it goes without saying that they should NEVER
wear that "belt sash" in any other situation other than during Pack Meetings
and NEVER during any kind of "fast moving activity" whereby the belt can be
snagged and "catch a Cub"!!)
That's the only idea I've got.....the pins are much easier to solve: get
one of those BSA red patch vests and have them to attach the pins to the vests.
Hope both of these suggestions help out!
