After years of "Trail Packs" (foil cooking) the best advice is to not
"skimp" on the foil. Always use Industrial Strength Extra Heavy Duty
Also I have found that pre boiling potatos, and not making the
hamburger patty real thick helps speed cooking.
Try something different like: Pork chops with sliced apples. Putting
two spoonfulls of Cream of Mushroom Soup (don't let the boys know
what it is) on top of the Hamburger patty. Try a good roast like
sirloin tip and cut it up into inch cubes and cook with potatos and
The point is to mix it up, but to remember that the fire is very,
very hot and it will burn the packs.
Hope this helps
