Yes, he can. There is a small Cub Scout pin in gold, called a "device,"
that is worn on the knot to show it was a Cub Scout award. If he earns the
Boy Scout version, he can add a small gold BSA pin to the same knot (you
only wear one knot regardless of how many awards you earn).
Check the Insignia Guide for a specific reference, but he's all set to wear
