Ben,As I mentioned to Calvin a few days ago, this incident seems to have
disappeared down here. There's a whole lot going on in Miami that
relegates Jere's problems to the point of miniscule insignificance.
Versace murder, City of Miami financial troubles, city commissioners
(two) indicted, Port of Miami going bankrupt, cops going to jail,
murder, mayhem, and the Marlins are in a pennant race.
It's entirely possible that the case was resolved somehow, but those of
us who have been looking for that news in the paper haven't seen it.
I always thought it ironic that in a city where guns seem to be as
prevalent and ubiquitous as gators in the 'Glades, the one guy to get
busted for being stupid with one is Mr. Scout.
'Course you want REAL irony, how about Barry Switzer doing the same
thing and then getting fined 75k by Jerry Jones (of all people) for
EMBARRASSING him. (How does ANYONE embarrass Jerry Jones??)
I guess Miami hasn't got a mortal lock on the fool franchise after all.
