Since I have just moved my address for scouts-L, I ythought this mihgt
be a good time for reintroduction. Briefly, I currently serve as
troop committee chair for Boy Scout Troop 772, National Capital Area
Council, and also for Post 769 (AKA GS Troop 2036 on occasion). I am
also Webelos Den Leader for a 2nd year Webelos Den (Pack 1072), and have
served as CC, DL, CM, and Tiger Coordinator in my ten years with the
pack. Helped found all three units. I counsel about 8 merit badges, but
have had most scouts approach me for Citizenship in the nation or First
Aid. As a youth, was a Cub for 3 years (AoL), Boy Scout for 5 (Eagle,
'65). I am a true believer.
Professionally, I am a physician for the Department of the Army, and
have a doctoral degree in chemistry.
I have two sons (Webelos Scout, Life who has finished his Eagle project
except for report) and one daugher (GS/Explorer). My wife Dianne is as
active as I am, but does not subscribe to mail lists. She's taking the
explorers to Seabase next week (SCUBA - turning green with envy).
My son and three of his troop-mates returned from Jamboree today. I
will be posting a compillation of thoughts later today or tomorrow.
