Yes, I decided to bring my laptop to the Jamboree. Last night (7/24) I
logged on to see if the data phones work. After quite a bit of difficulty,
and many bad thoughts, I was able to get on retrieve my mail. I hope to
send this on 7/25.
The site has been *very* wet the past few days and is now very muddy;
beware. Luckily for the contingents the forecast now calls for dry weather
over the next several days.
Most of the staff has now arrived and the roads resemble the Chicago
tollways at rush hours some times. Don't Speed! The MP's are very busy and
diligent pulling over those who speed.
For those coming up here... There is a neat historic trail that runs through
Fredericksburg that is worth the visit. It's about a 5mile hike through the
old town. There is also a nice medal and patch for it.
For those looking for me... I'll be at trading post C working the cash
I am on "nomail" until after the jamboree so please send any replies by
I used to be a buffalo (SR-92) but will always be an Eagle (1981)
