i just got home from our camp and the Program director is still called
"Boober" and the staff all are using their nicknames such as "Boardy, Doc,
Pugsly, Muffy" and so on.
IMHO one of the worst things that came about in camps is the PC movement.
we can no longer call the scouts that set up and clean up at meals
"gophers" they are now called "waiters". what's the difference?
we were told that the first is demeaning. How? if everyone is going to be
one durning the week it can't be a slur.
oh well, in my troop they are still gophers and i'm proud to say that "I
have been one"
"i used to be an Eagle"

SM troop 42, Orleans district

i don't suffer from insanity.
i'm enjoying every minute!
