I am setting up the Webelos program for our council camporee and need
some fresh ideas from the Scout-l group. We have decided to have
non-competitive games that they would learn about by playing in the
morning and in the afternoon they would play again and we would
award a ribbon the first, second, and third (all would get a ribbon for
participation). All the afternoon games would be timed to allow it to
be sort-of non competitive.
Our theme for the Camporee is "Quest for the Diamond" - this is our
council's 75th aniv. We are making all the games connect with a scene
from Indiana Jones movies. For example; the strecher relay is connected
to the carrying of the ark, there is a game where scouts will go across
tires hanging all in a row - this will be like a scene on top the
boxcars, and another game is where they will have to travel across a sea
of word and spell out the scout law - like one of the scenes where
Indiana has to step on the right stones. get the idea!
Can any of you give more ideas? We need ten good ones and we have six
or seven. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Before the camporee I am sure I'll be watching all the Indiana Jone's
movies again. Anybody remember which movie he was a boy scout?
