For the University of Scouting I need exciting new and old group games that
meet the profile "anyone can win no matter what their athletic ability"
As an example, I am very successful with an old game that I have renamed "Red
Light Green Light with Attitude, My Attitude. I start the game by lining the
Scouts up and telling them My Rules "Are you having FUN? "Y E S" Are
you having FUN? Sir Yes Sir! "Sir Yes Sir"" I explain the basic game then
let them know that they can only use Baby Steps and when they stop that they
must not move at all, no talking, no hair flipping, no hand moving, etc.,
that they can only breath and blink. Then I proceed to trick them from the
very start by giving the command "On your mark get set GOOOO. Half will
start and I will send all back and say "You didn't listen, I didn't say
green light do I need to give the rules again." "Now is everyone ready
---- Sir Yes Sir ---- OK ---- GO" Half again will start. They LOVE
it. Even the Tigers. Try it some time. The Parents can not believe that I
can have fifty Scout totally motionless and walk away from them with my back
turned and no one moves. Any one can win and I have even sent a Cub in a
wheelchair back when I heard his chair motor start.
A great game but I am running out of ideas.
