Thanks for the replies on the Jamboree staff positions. My trouble is
getting it through National. I just recieved a letter stating that all
positions are full.
My son returned last night from his Rayado. It is a wonderfl growth
experience. We talked for two hours which for a 15 year old is an eternity.
For those of you that think machismo is dead I will relate one story. His
Rayado crew was coming up the North face of Baldy Mountain with full packs,
just been reprovisioned the day before at Ute Commissary. That's right 25
miles the day before and then the next day over Baldy.
Back to the story. The approack up the North face of Baldy is pretty steep
from what I understand. They were coming up on all fours. As they could see
the crest the crew spotted a co-ed Rayado crew on the top, so they ran up the
remainder of the trail. Who said machismo is dead.
As to the shorts, national holds inventory so they can sell it at Jamboree.
There will probably be plenty of shorts at the Trading Post. But Target
sells a Cargo Pocket shorts that are almost exactly the right color. They
are on sale in this area for 11.99 and my so says they are a lot more
